Astrotech Space Operations (ASO) has been a global satellite processing leader for more than twenty five years. With 275 successful spacecraft missions to date, Astrotech continues to provide adaptable and flexible services to its customers, utilizing the latest launch facilities, and unsurpassed engineering and technical expertise. ASO provides all support necessary for its government and commercial customers to process complex communication, Earth observation and deep space satellites successfully in preparation for their launch on a variety of domestic and foreign launch vehicles. Processing activities include satellite ground transportation; pre-launch hardware integration and testing; satellite encapsulation, fueling, launch pad delivery; and communication linked launch control.

Our ASO facilities can accommodate five-meter class satellites with weights of 11,000 kilograms, encompassing the majority of U.S.-based satellite preparation services.

Since beginning operations at its Titusville, Florida facility ASO has been at the forefront of the commercial space industry. ASO continues to expand its customer base, surpassing others in the industry, with company-owned state-of-the-art facilities and highly specialized turn-key services. Since entering into the payload processing services business, ASO has never missed a facility schedule commitment, nor has the company been the cause of a payload mishap or a launch delay for 275 payloads. In fact, Astrotech has repeatedly demonstrated its flexibility and responsiveness to late changing customer schedules and processing requirements - a common occurrence in many satellite programs today. Astrotech customers have a choice to use other facilities offered by governmental and corporate competitors, however, due to the superior facilities and the professional operational capabilities, the company enjoys over 90% of the domestic satellite service market. Furthermore, Astrotech’s End to End Mission Assurance initiative enables us to support satellite customers from pre-launch integration to launch-to-orbital insertion - all the way down to the end user.

ASO’s standard package of services provides all the support necessary to provide an End-to-End Mission Assurance solution for the global satellite market, including:
